Current operations during Covid

  • The health and safety of our staff, volunteers, and visitors is always of the utmost importance to our organization
  • To keep our food bank and visitors healthy throughout this time, we are following all outlined measures by our local public health including frequent hand-washing, sterilizing work environments, wearing masks, and social-distancing when possible
  • Donors are asked to wear masks when entering the food bank and to sanitize their hands once through the door (financial donations can be dropped off at the main entrance in the parking lot and food donations can be dropped off at the delivery door on the right-hand side of the building)
  • We schedule client shopping for food to specific time slots to minimize/eliminate time spent in the waiting area at the food bank and we provide additional food resources to clients to reduce frequency of visits
  • If our clients are unable to shop, we will make up their food hamper for them for pick-up — again at scheduled intervals
  • If required, we deliver to clients who are unable to safely shop for their food hampers provided we have 24 hours’ notice
